A unique festival for Ireland, set in the charming setting of the famous foodie paradise, Ballymaloe House. Litfest is a food and drinks literacy festival, a weekend filled with inspirational stories, great writing, intriguing discussions, great speakers, music and dancing. It’s a place for foodies from all over the world to come together, share ideas, get inspired and celebrate their passions. A celebration of fine writing on the finest food and drink but also much more – the organisers say food literacy is “about understanding where the food you eat comes from, who produces it and if it is good for you”.

Litfest - A Food and Drinks Literacy Festival at Ballymaloe is a weekend filled with fascinating facts, inspirational stories, intriguing discussions, incredible knowledge, fantastic music, fabulous dancing and of course, delicious food and drinks.
 
It is the only festival of its kind in Ireland and has created an important hub for food and drinks enthusiasts worldwide to meet and share ideas with each other.
